The Oxford Dictionary defines "rehash" as to "put (old ideas or material) into a new form without significant change or improvement." But with "Fool Circle," The KMX Band gives new meaning to the word "rehash." The band's current lineup powers through ten older songs that all sound significantly improved, with the occasional "took ya long enough" change applied when necessary.
The band's current lineup did not form until after its third and most recent album (2016's "Italicize") was released, so the first half of "Fool Circle" finds the band making up for lost time by redoing five album cuts. The second half of the album consists of five songs that have never been given the studio treatment until now, which makes Fool Circle "almost half of a proper new album" if that makes any kind of sense (it doesn't).
So while it's not really clear what this album is, it IS clear that these are ten tracks that you should hear. Especially if you made it this far.
